Its farings are made of GRP with caron Kevlar reinforcements that provide amazing strength and are also lightweight. It also gets two winglets at the front that provide downforce and keeps this supersport stable at high speeds. The adjustable handlebars, footpegs, and seat height allows the rider to fine-tune the perfect riding ergonomics as per their needs. KTM RC 8C gets a carbon fibre fender with an air scoop that channels the air over the brakes and radiator to achieve efficient cooling. The carbon fibre farings with sharp body lines and angular shapes give this supersport a futuristic look.
Engine, Gearbox, and Performance
It features an 889cc parallel-twin motor that can rev up to 12,000 rpm. KTM RC 8C produces 135 hp of maximum power and 98 Nm of maximum torque. Its liquid-cooled engine uses an electronic fuel injection system with a Bosch engine management system. Its air filter box consists of twin air filters that feed maximum air to the engine and improve throttle response. This supersport is paired with a 6-speed transmission with a power-assisted anti-hopping slipper clutch. KTM RC 8C gets a quickshifter+ system that allows the riders to upshift or downshift without using the clutch. It comes fitted with an Akrapovic racing exhaust with a carbon silencer tip as standard, which is not only lightweight but also gives it a unique exhaust note.
Suspension, and Brakes
The KTM RC 8C is equipped with a race-spec top-of-the-line braking system and suspension setup. At the front end, it features fully adjustable 43 mm upside-down WP Apex Pro 7543 forks with closed cartridges. KTM RC 8C is fitted with twin 290 mm disc brakes on the front wheel and a single 220 mm disc brake on the rear wheel. It gets radially mounted 4-piston callipers at the front and a 2-piston calliper at the rear. This supersport also features a Brembo 19RCS Corsa Corta radial master cylinder with a ratio click system. It misses out on an ABS which is seen on entry-level sports bikes such as Yamaha R2.
