Bajaj Avenger 250 Overview
Design and Styling
The new Avenger 250 will be carrying the same classic cruiser-type look as the smaller Avenger 220. At the front, it will be featuring a tall transparent visor and a compact LED headlight unit with a chrome cover. Bajaj will equip this cruiser with a lot of parts with chrome highlights to give a timeless retro feel to its design.
Engine, Gearbox, and Performance
The Bajaj Avenger 250 will be powered by a single-cylinder, four-stroke, 249.07cc engine. Its engine will be based on the DTS-i twin spark technology and it will rely on an electronic fuel injection system for fuel supply. Instead of a liquid cooling unit seen on the Pulsar series bikes, this cruiser will use an oil-cooling system. The Bajaj Avenger 250 is expected to churn out 24.1 hp of max power and 21.5 Nm of max torque. It will be linked to a 5-speed constant mesh transmission.
Suspension and Brakes
This classic cruiser bike will be fitted with telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers with 5-step adjustability. Its suspension setup will be tuned to deliver a comfortable ride. The braking duties on the Bajaj Avenger 250 will be handled by a 300 mm disc on the front wheel and a 230 mm disc on the rear wheel. This cruiser will also be equipped with a single-channel anti-lock braking system like the Jawa Scrambler 300.
Features
As the upcoming Avenger 250 will be carrying a premium price tag we expect it to offer a good deal of tech features. It will be featuring a fully digital instrument console that will show information like speedometer, tachometer, gear position, fuel efficiency, and riding range. The Bajaj Avenger 250 will come with a LED headlight and taillight unit while the turn signals would be conventional bulb type. Bajaj may also include an in-built navigation system and smartphone connectivity feature in this cruiser.
Bajaj Avenger 250 Price in India and Launch Date
Bajaj has added three new models to its 250cc line-up in recent times and there are news reports coming that the brand may soon introduce a 250cc cruiser in India. The Avenger 250 is expected to hit the Indian market by the end of this year. The Baja Avenger 250 price in India is expected to range between Rs 1.45 to 1.48 lakh. It will be competing against the Honda Scrambler 250, Royal Enfield Classic 350, Honda CB350, & Jawa 42 in the market.
Our Verdict on the Bajaj Avenger 250
The current-gen Avenger 220 fails to attract new-age riders due to its underpowered engine and mediocre equipment package. The upcoming Avenger 250 will be more exciting as it will be equipped with a powerful performance-oriented engine. We also expect it to be packed with high-quality hardware and tech features like the bigger Bajaj bikes. The Bajaj Avenger 250 will help the brand strengthen its position in the quarter-litre segment & attract new buyers.
