Lamborghini Reventon Overview
The tantalizing design of the Lamborghini Reventon is conceptualized at Centro Stile. According to Lamborghini, the design of this supercar is inspired by the McDonnell-Douglas F-15 fighter jet. It looks totally bewitching owing to its streamlined body with just the right amount of sharp edges. It is built on a high-strength steel chassis with carbon fibre components. The Lamborghini Reventon comes with a four-wheel independent articulated quadrilateral suspension system with hydraulic shock absorbers and coil springs. It is fitted with dual front and rear struts, anti-roll, anti-dive, and anti-squat bars. The braking duties on the Reventon are carried out by self-ventilated carbon fibre disc brakes on all four wheels. It features 18-inch monoblock alloy wheels with Pirelli P ZERO ROSSO tyres.
It is powered by a 60-degree naturally aspirated 6.5L V12 engine that is mounted longitudinally to the rear of this supercar. The Lamborghini Reventon produces 641 hp of maximum power at 8,000 pm and 660.28 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. Its engine uses a multipoint sequential fuel injection system with a drive-by-wire throttle. It comes with a 6-speed E-Gear semi-automatic transmission with flappy paddles. The Lamborghini Reventon top speed is claimed to be around 340 kmph. The V12 engine of this supercar propels it from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.4 seconds. The Reventon comes with power-assisted steering and it gets driver assistance features like ESP, ABS, and traction control.
Lamborghini Reventon Price in India and Launch Date
The Reventon is one of the rarest Lamborghinis and its production was limited to only 20 units. The standard coupe version debuted in 2008, while the roadster version was launched a year after. At the time of launch, the Reventon carried a price tag of 1 million euros. The Lamborghini Reventon price in India would have been nearly Rs 6.35 crore excluding import duties if it was brought to India. This super exclusive Lamborghini is still up for sale in the second-hand market.
Our Verdict on the Lamborghini Reventon
Even after a decade after its launch, the Lamborghini Reventon looks captivating and it manages to turn heads. Its V12 powertrain may not deliver performance figures that the new-age supercars are capable of, but it still packs a punch. It breaches the 300 kmph mark with ease and it offers lighting acceleration thanks to its lightweight carbon fibre body. The Lamborghini Reventon may not match the supremacy of new-age hypercars, but it will definitely leave you in awe when you get to see it in the flesh.
